Hydor External Heater

Howdy All,

I'm looking at changing to an external Hydor heater, can someone give me an idea of dimensions, I have seen comments that they are abit bulky.

Hi,

My EHT300 in 16/22mm is about 1 foot long, and about as thick as my upper arm, so yes, a bit bulky compared to most internal heaters, but about the same length. However, this is going on the outlet pipe of an external filter, so thankfully, it can be hidden in the aquarium cabinet, out of site, or behind the tank itself, hidden by plants or the tank background

Are we talking Swarzenegger or PeeWee Herman type arms

Behind the tank and background is what I had in mind. I've got about a 10cm gap between tank and wall.

10cm would be Ok I think, i just measured my 300 at the widest point and thats between 7-8cm.
