i know that guppies and mollies can cross breed but out of guppies platties mollies and swords which ones can cross breed

Swordies and Platies can cross-breed, and Guppies and Mollies can cross-breed. That's it, out of those fish. :)

Yes, Endlers can breed with Guppies...though I wouldn't reccomend it, as most people want to keep the Endler strain pure....and then you'd just have Endler Guppy hybrids which don't always turn out so well.

Platies bred with Swords don't turn out too fancy either. Since they've been bred back and forth to get different colors in each other's breed and so on. The rarest of all the ones mentioned are Molly/Guppy hybrids.

Though if you feel like breeding something new or exciting, I'd reccomend you just look for some of the "wilder", more exotic Livebearers, like Halfbeaks, or Four-eyed fish, or Yellow Bellies. :)

actually i meant can they breed with any others or are like guppies and can only breed with mollies besides guppies. sorry for wording it wrong at first. as far as the "wilder" ones u suggested do you know of any sites about them as i dont think yahoo turned up much.

Try Seaching Google...you'll find tons of sites and information about them. :) There are many other kinds too, I just mentioned a few. The only problem with wilder type Livebearers is they can be a pain to find. But once you get them, they are very enjoyable. :)

Endlers are part of the Poecilia family too, along with Mollies and Guppies, so yes, they can only breed with them. Though I have never ever heard of a Molly/Endler hybrid....I imagine it must be very difficult to have them breed (if you wanted too) because of the size difference.

thanks for the help. i dont like the ones you suggessted much ill just stick with the more common livebearers for now. i think im gonna go for mollie guppie hybrid. what would be better: 1 male molly and 2-3 female guppies or 1 male guppie and 2-3 female mollies. also since im pretty much gauarnteed that any female livebearers i get are pregnent how long should i keep them seperated from the males to ensure that the fry i get are from the male that i am try to breed with them?

I'd think you'd have to use a female Molly, since I doubt female Guppies could handle bigger sized fry. Though I have to tell you, don't get your hopes up too high, because it's not very common for them to breed.

And well, Female Livebearers can store sperm for up to 7 pregnancies...so that's about 7 months, if you want to be totally sure.

And also, do you have plans for all the fry?

not yet its till just an idea. if i do go with it i think ill keep them till they are a few months old and then keep the ones i like the best and then see if a lfs will by them from me
:D
