So I finally couldnt stand it anymore. Since Breezer passed away I look at his empty tank everyday. After much pleading and nagging I dragged my husband to Petsmart. :p We stood and looked at bettas for a good 15 minutes. My husband asked "Arent these the cups you were telling me about?" (I rant about the cups a lot) I said yes and started on one of my "Mistreatment of Bettas" speeches.
So after helping me pick out THREE new little guys my husband demanded they be put in bags with more water for our trip home and complained that the cups were just pathetic. The girl helping us explained that is how they were sent and that the individual stores had no say in the cups. :grr:
I was super proud of my man! :D
I'll hopefully be posting pictures of my new guys soon. They are adorable! :D

Yah! New fishies! Congrats, can't wait to see pics :)

BTW, when I'm older, I want a husband like yours! LoL.

I think it is cute when our boyfriends/girlfriends/husbands/wives convert to the "other side" Like the other day my boyfriend came over and said, "So have you been stirring up the sand to keep all of the poisonous gasses like the nitrites and nitrates in the sand out?" And I just smiled and said, "Yep." :p

Ok everyone is in their tanks now and so pretty under the light! Leo has a white face with dark spots, but his body is neon pink with lavender stripes, and his fins are SO long and flowing. He hasnt stopped moving since I put him in the tank, exploring like crazy
Horizen is bright metalic blue with the faintest lavender on his tail. Right now he is sitting at the bottom of his tank looking very unsure about whats going on.
Vega is bright red with blue stripes on his tail you can see them only when he flares. He is exploring as well but also seems a bit unsure.
Leo is my little prince of the group and he knows he is a handsome little man. :D
Going ot let them relax a bit before I get the pictures. :p

Lol to cute Rae, sounds like a keeper!
BettaMomma I love your Charlie avatar!

LOL no I could not tell at all!
Ok everyone is moving and flaring and strutting like crazy! Peco and Leo share a Bowfront and are giving each other the stare down through the divider.
Im changing Pecos name to Horizen because when he flares he is blue and pink like a sunset! :p
New bettas are so fun! /cheer :D :D  Must have more

Ok Im very bad with computers. Can anyone tell me how to get my pictures to show up here? :/ :*)

Yea, bettas are awesome! I was finally getting my wife around to this side of things and she finally picked out one of her own, then 2 weeks later she had to leave for a 6 month deployment so I'm probably going to have to start all over again when she gets home. Sigh. Pics are easy. When you're typeing your post, right above the big white box are gray buttons. Click the IMG button, type in the URL of the pic you want up, and click ok. The pic won't show up in the area you type in, but if you preview the post it will. To put more then one pic in one post just skip a line and repeat as many times as necessary. They need to have a URL so you need to bring them from a website or something. I have a picture album at photobucket.com. It's free and they display the url along with a couple other things right under the pic so you can just copy there and paste here.

Aww, that's great ^^ I can't get my boyfriend to like the fish yet, though he's come to a reluctant truce with my birds. My dad always complains about my pets, but when he thinks no one is looking, I'll see him talking to them or petting them. And whenever something happens that might risk the pets, he automatically gets all up in arms and tries to think of ways to prevent them from getting hurt. A good example was pet rooster, Skoggi, who dad professed to absolutely hate because of all of the crowing. We used to let him roam the back yard, and be in a fenced in area in the garage when the weather was bad. But the fence was really low and one day he hopped out and almost got hit by a car. Well darned if the next day my dad hadn't converted our tool shed into a first-class chicken coop (perching and all), so that Skoggi would not only be safe, but he could freely travel between the "indoors" and the back yard without any risk of escape into the street.

Aw Random that is SO cute. :p

Im going to try to get pics now. Just had to put Leo in a tank by himself. He was just all over the divider flaring and REALLY stressing Horizen out. He would wait till Horizen was close then lunge at him all flared.

These are all Leo, bad coloring and image sorry I have the worst camera ever. He is actually neon pink with lavender swirled in. He has just the longest fins Ive ever seen.

Ok these are Horizen. He is a pretty blue that turns metalic green when the light hits him just right, with red mixed in.

And last but not least is Vega. He is just bright bright red with blue that you can see when he flares.

I wish the pictures were better. They are all just the most amazing colors.  :D

I may try for some better ones when they relax a bit. Dont want to stress them out to much on their first day.

My little guys are already eatting and playing. After I put Leo in his own tank things got a lot better. Horizen came out of his little corner and stopped making quick dashes everywhere.
Vega will flare at Horizen but he doesnt spaz out like Leo did. Horizen just kind of floats there staring at Vega like "Your weird". Then swims off to play in the plants. :p
Leo was depressed at first about his solitary so I brought out a little mirror for him to flare at like the macho boy he is. Now he swims around looking for "the other fish". :D
Im so happy with my new little family.
