Go get em!Just went out to the stand. It was my grandfathers that he used to hunt out of.
Anyways, I made sure I felt comfortable. My cousin is also going to be hunting close by.
Got clothes set out and am ready. Hopefully.
Finding thread is easy! It's getting it into the tiny slot in the needle that's where the skill lies. Plus you have to be careful - make a stitch back in the fold, and you'll never smooth it out. And if you're careless and sew yourself onto a large fish or bird, you won't love the results. Shoot a hole in a badger on a windy day and the whistling will drive you nuts, but if you miss the badger and just bruise it, the lavender spot will make you feel really guilty.Hey ! If you're hunting thread I know a good place to go. The fabric store. They have hundreds and hundreds of spools of it there.
Well, I guess there IS always tomorrow! My uncle, dad, my 2 cousins, and I didn't see anything. It was freezing. Will try again tomorrow.
If you don't want to see those photos then don't follow this thread... I mean @WhistlingBadger did a picture of his and it was fine. Sad to see a beautiful creature die, yes but I keep in mind that all the meat will not go to waste and that the hunter is being responsible. No trophy pictures please. Hunt away to your heart's content, but trophy shots are ugly. Forest pictures are great.
I'm grumpy. We can't kayak here in the unseasonal warmth because of the duck hunters, and walks in the forest aren't worth your life.
