Hi As you may know i have a humpbacked puffer fish he is totally fresh water but we have noticed recently that he has extremly heavy breathing and his hole body is moving, the breathing is quite slow and he isn't moving very much (nothing new) but even less than usual any idea's what might be casuing this heavy breathing?

Any help would be great

Also have just completed a partial water change and all parameters and temps are fine.

Many Thanks

Shell

Can you post test results so we can take a look, heavy breathing can be a sign of gill flukes, are his gills red and inflamed or pale, and has he been flicking and rubbing against objects.

i have no idea but you should ask again in Oddballs; the authorities are more likely to see this in that forum.

best of luck.
