 ok here is the deal guys today I went to the clinik for some rash medication its called BENADRYL ICH RELIFE so when I cam home I put it on so a little after that I was like my fish tank needs to be clean  so I cleaned it not thinking about the cream I put on un till now will this kill my fish? here what the cream has in it DIPHENHY HYDROLIDE I have it on my arms and hands :*) I hope my fish will be ok :-( what can I dooooo???

I would think that if the stuff was all worked in, and dry IE if it was an hour after applying it or more, it Should be ok. But Im not certain. I use cream for my hand sometimes, and usually wait for awhile before I stick it in a tank, or feed the fish.
If worse comes to worse, maybe a water change, some carbon and maybe a good scrubbing would help.

Hope im not way off base.

Shawn

possibly but i dont think its likely if you only put your arm in for a short time.

How big is the tank? In a large tank (40g plus) there is enough water to dilute the small of medication to a harmless concentration, just run some carbon in the filter for 24 hours,if it is a smaller tank then it may be wise to do a 25% water change and put some carbon in the filter, leaving it there for a few days.

should be fine m8. as mentioned abaove a bit of carbon in the filer won't hurt and a 25% water change, or as cfc sadi, if it is a large tank you really have no worries.

Hi. Is the cream oil based? If it is then it's unlikely that any of the active ingredient will have dissolved in the water. Side affects of antihistamines include drowsiness (in humans anyway) so lookout for listless fish.
Good look - cool_jool
