i have a 6 nich hujeta gar and i was wondering if anything new any helpful tips to take car of them ( i really wanna know how i can get him to grow faster)

Sorry i am not sure about growth, i am sure somebody can help you though. All i know about these is they're a very interesting fish, but generally shy and nervous, n also need very good water.

What size tank is it in? Male/Female?

for now its only in a 29 but im gettin a 120 soon and its male i believe

yer i mean coz most literature states 5 foot tank +

I would agree with a 5ft tank as they reach 24" in the wild (but around 12" in captivity mainly), they like to be in groups and can be skittish (imagine a fish as fast as a hujeta being spooked, thus the need for a big tank).

Hujetas are generally slower growing fish, so it might be growing at a decent rate, just you don't notice it every day.

EDIT: Just wondering how you think you have a male?

well i read on a website that if its a male its back fin tends to be bigger and i was compaing mine with some that i seen in a at my work and the ones at my works tails where a little smaller than mine and they are all around the same size in lenght...
