My name is Jerry. I'm A 66 year old Air Force Vet. and a retired Letter Carrier rrom the USPS. After many years of being out of the hobby, I've decided to jump back in. Wow, have things changed. When I first started, back when I was in the 5th grade, we never heard of cycling or LED lighting and stuff like that. My first tank was a 20gal long. One memory was my mom staying up with me all night, while my Gold Wagtail was giving birth. I or we were hooked. Going into the USAF years later I had to give it up for traveling reasons. My 20L was impossible to maintain. When I was discharged, got married and got into the USPS. I got me a 55gal. I still knew 0 about cycling, but had me a DYNA FLO 150 and was rock'n. I kept 4 Angel Fish. and a thickly planted tank with Jungle Val. I built a great wall across the tank with roofing slate. A customer was replacing her roof and she said I could have as much as I wanted. After work I picked up a few large slabs, took the home and busted them up for smaller , and more manageable pieces. I constructed my wall. Added my Angels, Jungle Val (which spreed at break neck speed). I raised my Angels from dime size to hand size. feeding only and Brine Shrimp and live Tubeflex Worms. The Tubeflex Worms really bothered my wife because I had to keep them in the frig. She made me keep them in my beer frig. Well ....... kids came and we moved. With kids, came sports and other real life stuff and I never got around to my 55gal. again. I sold it and kept the dream in my head. Well I'm back and am blown away by all the tech and advancements. Love it. I now have a 60gal, Finnex 24/7 light, a Aquaclear 110 filter and in the middle of "Cycling" I plan on a nice population of Rummy Nose Tetras. Thanx for excepting me and reading this, Jerry
