i want to breed some bettas now, after seeing some really kewl crowntails at my lfs. onyl one thing though. how would i go anout setting up a tank for them to spawn..?

i know that the male has to build a bubble nest. but wouldnt the current of the filter mess up the bubble nest?

thats why you dont get a powerfull filter...

and put 1/2 a styrafoam cup agaisnt the front glass.. it will help to stop the current from ruining his nest..... couple plants in the corners also will help for the female to hide

Take out filter, *After fry are free swimming you can add sponge filter* And keep the temp at 80-82f and make sure there are plants for the female to hide in. The water should be at around 6" deep so it is neccesary to use a submersible heater. :D HTH
