How To Sex

I have 4 young Ancistrus Temminckii(bristlenose plec)and I dunno how to sex them.If there's anyone out there who knows, please tell me!Thanks!!!

One thing aquatics teaches you is patience. Other than waiting, the only way is dissection, someting I'm sure you don't want to do.

Umm what about the 4th? I think if you were quite experienced you could tell a little before they have bristles but it would be just an educated guess at best even then.

Other than bristles you may be able to tell from the shape and size of their nose/lip area and the 'hairyness' of their fin tip area.

How big/old are they anyway?

just as a note - they wont be Teminneki's - they havent been imported for years.

they will be Ancistrus sp. (3)
