How To Set A Timer

if it was set before it should still be set now, unless you changed the pins, if its the same and the side switch is set to timer then i guess its goosed. but on mine i push in the pins for the time i want it on

ive tried, so will see if it works later
you also have to set it to the correct time of day, you need to turn the dial so the little arrow points to 1400 if its 2 o'clock for example otherwise your lights will come on at a totally unexpected time of day (or night) but you can test that by turning the dial round until it hits your set time and then the lights should come on and go off when you turn through the pressed in pins

Why wait and see if it works? First of all spin the dial so that it's pointing at the current time, I.e 6pm? Point it to 6, and then push the pin down there is at the 6 position and also then make sure all the rest of the pins are pushed down until the time you wish the device to be turned off at, and then make sure they're in the up position. If that fails, make sure the red switch on the side of the timer is on the timer position? Still not working? are you sure the in-line switch on the power cable isn't in the off position? - a lot of fish tank lights will have this switch.
