you could try a 20k bulb and a 10k bulb and that should give you a good colour
it all depends one what you have to spend, you could try and find a 14k 15 watt bulb, or you could go LED's or halide (but you would be plagued with algae.its just the colour, and the clear look is given by halides or LED'sIs it possible?

so just buying a better tube will help
