How To Prevent These Things?

OK Nomber 1 How do you prevent the evaporationg water from dripping down the front of your tank leaving a salt resedue.

And Number 2 I just had this really grose greel liquity stuff on the glass below the light. It was green so i thought it was algae and wiped it off and it just smeered off the glass.

How can you prevent those two things from happening?

The salt creep is not evaporation but just where you have splashed water when doing water changes/cleaning etc. The green slime sounds like some type of algae. the only thing you can do is to clean it off once it appears.

How can you prevent those two things from happening?

Grin and bear it... 'cause no matter how many times you wipe it off it always comes back! There are products which say they "eliminate salt creep" and such... but I don't trust chemicals around my fish. A saltwater snail might help with the algae problem.

lol now i get to have the joy of having inverts besides my 4 snails! I picked up 100lbs of sand today.
