very confused here, i have a tank that fits in the corner, meaning its triangle shape, only bought it 3 weeks ago, its one of those that comes with a cabinet underneath. I have been on a few web sites but all give different answers i have been told to measure length 31in x width 23in x height 22in and then divide it by 231 which is supposed to be cubic measures, totally thick when it comes to maths so can anyone help, PLEASE :)

If it's triangular, I suppose you could measure it WxLxH using the calculator and then divide it in half.

dizzied is right. His way is probably the easiest possible.

But I love math, so I gotta endulge:

To get the volume in square inches, the formula is:
(Area of base of tank) * (Height of Tank)

The area of a triangle is
(1/2) * (base of triangle) * (height)

Use the two perpendicular sides as your triangle base and height.
