How To Make Artificial Roots

Just re-arranged my Mudskipper tank by piling up slate for them to sit on and then some moss held in place with a red moor root.
still don't really like it and Mudskippers don't really seem that pleased...
How could I start to make some artificial roots for them to sit on and feed from...?

check the planted journals for musdskipper pal. someone made a really nice artificial root systems for their mudskippers and it looked awesome.
