dont know if i have lost any stock but when this guy get big then im stuffed. hes got very big. hes yellow hairy and he looks like the one in this link. http://www.chucksaddiction.com/hitchcrabs.html the yellow one :shout:

how do you make a bottle trap?

There are a couple of ways to do it, cut the top off a bottle and invert inside the body of the bottle, bait with bacon or a prawn and wait, best to do it at night and leave near their hole! Other way is use a tall glass, put bait in the bottom and lean glass against rock where the crab lives (again best at night) crab smells food, slides down the glass and then cant get back out again

ok thanks i cant do the glass one because he lives in a cave on the sand bed
so all i have to do is cut a bottle and put bacon in it?

Couple of points to note.

Make sure the neck of the bottle is big enough for it to fit through.
Don't use a lot of bait. i.e. just a small fingernail sized bit.
Using a glass doesn't always work if it is a swimming crab.

well may as well come out
with it i to have got problems
a large brown crab with red eyes
and two which are like a cream colour
are hairy and have one claw is bigger
than the other i also have several
small mantis shrimp any ideas any one

HELP !!! :shout:

Oh no the Biffster has crabs as well!! And Mantis shrimps, phew!!

I would be tempted to take out the rock piece by piece as you only have a small amount, put it in a bucket like Harry says, bait and watch :p There is a market for the prettier mantis shrimp :D but actually might be nice to keep them in your small tank if you see them? My duaghter has a peacock one, he is lovely, just sits all day at the front of his cave, watching the world go by
