Well as the title says, I need to get my clown to move territories.
After losing its original teritory to my coral beauty it has found a new one under my large toadstool coral.
However, the constant swimming in and around the coral by the clown has caused its polyps to stay inside the coral. So really I need to get the clown to go somewhere else.

If I moved the coral, would to clown follow it or find somewhere else to go?
Any thoughts or ideas?

thanks

Josh

How long has it been hosting it? My clown hosts a mushroom and for the first week or two the mushroom closed up everytime the clown touched it. Now though it doesnt reacte at all to the clown (probably because the clown feeds it as well :) ).

Total tank move around got my clown to host a pussey coral instead of button polyps.

You could try adding a Rhodactis indosinensis mushroom this coral is not all bothered by clowns and got mine away from my frogspawn, it is actually stated in THE BOOK, that these mushrooms are known to be clownfish hosts.

Yeah my clown is hosting a Rhodactis too :)

yeah it is really cute :) when the clown gets scared he hides underneath it too.

I only had one mushroom in there but fragged bits off it awhile ago and recently put the new frags in next to it. The clown went nuts swimming round rubbing them all as if too say "wooooo new furniture!" :)

I have to say, when the big camera monster comes out, where are my clowns?? Cuddled and huddled into the mushrooms staring at me with those oh so cute faces.

They are such wooses

Yours haven't taken to biting you yet then  Wait until they get a bit bigger and a bit more territorial. My female will leap out of the water to bite me when I put my hand in and it hurts(a little bit) when they get you.

No they are still juveniles, they are at the point where a week or so ago I first could tell which is female and which is male.

I will take your word for it, I just cannot see it at the moment, they are just wimps  Even my Yellow Watchman Goby is more aggressive at defending his cave than this pair. They have flown off back to their safe haven when he has gone in to bite them. Now he does have huge mouth, I saw inside it.
