I have got 3 Bronze Corys and i have algae wafers to feed them however whenever i put them in for them to eat the Guppies that i have get there first and eat the wafer even if i try distracting them with flake food. Also the corys and the bulldog plec dont seem interested in them.

All help greatfully recieved.

i always feed bottom feeders after the light goes out for the evening. ok i dont get to see them feed (until i get my moonlight leds) but at least they get fed

make sure you are feeding bottom feeder food like tetra prima (which sinks to the bottom quickly) and tetra min (flake food) which stays at the top. same as previous poster said, feed them just after lights go out (maybe leave a lamp on until they have fed if you dont have moonlight lights).

ETA maybe feed the top feeders (eg guppies) a few mins before the corys, that way they wont run for the algae wafers! They'll need more than just algae wafers to be healthy :good:

My catfish eat at the same time as everyone else. I feed them brine shrimp and they go nuts for it. I do also put in some sinking catfish pellets for them just in case thouh.

Yeah what else should i feed them even when the lights go out the guppies still force their way in if i feed them after the guppies the guppies go down and carry on eating. The wafers sink quickly and the bulldog pleco isnt interested either.

Hi Leesey and welcome to the forum. :hi:

Could it be possible that you aren't putting in enough food for all the fish to be satisfied? Try giving them a bit more flake and see it that helps. You might also try feeding them by taking a pinch of flake between your fingers and putting your hand halfway down into the tank. Flick the flakes downward and while some bits will go down for the bottom dwellers, some will float upward too.
