Hi guys...for those with some exp with the tailbiters.....
One of my lovely BEST breeding males outof nowhere started biting his tail. ALOT. Of course I am lucky he can only reach so much of it, or he would prb eat it all. I've watched him swirl around like a rabid dog chasing his tail, its ghastly.
Okay, so he never ever ever did this until recently.
It started when I moved him away from a female overnight.
Since then, I have tried different habitats, placing hiim near males or females, or other things,
different plants, different additives (salt, bettafix, ial etc)
varying lighting, heat, different food/feedings etc etc etc
Be is sooo caught up in it now I can't get him to stop!
I am vary wary to breed him since this...I don't want him to bring infection to the tank if he bites his tail in there, bacterial etc.
Any tips greatly appreciated.
