Sadly I will be moving away for University next year so i've come to the sad decision to break down my marine tank. I have asked my parents if they're interested in keeping them until I graduate but although they love watching them they admit they would never be able to keep the water conditions stable and don't really understand a lot about their needs in general.
Now I have a fish only with live rock set up which I've had for a year, I've checked ebay where people seem to be selling the fish with their tanks too but I don't know if that's the best option because obviously they will have to set up the tank from scratch and have it running for a few days before they can go running it as it is now. Is it best to return the fish to the stores I bought them from or should I sell online first for people to come and pick them up? I would prefer them to all stay together, especially the percula clowns and they're inseparable.
Once the livestock is gone I'll be fine selling the tank and full setup, I would love some advice on how to go about it.

Thanks!

It will be much easier to part it out than to sell all the livestock. I'd find some local reef forums and post on their classifieds. I doubt fish stores will sell them for you and give you a cut, but you might as well ask.

Selling the live rock should be super easy assuming you haven't used copper in the tank.

i would agree, sell the live stock to people who know what they are doing first. Any idiot could bid on ebay and end up with your fish if you sell as a job lot.
