How the heck do you pronounce "plakat"

I was having a chat with someone and they say plakat differently then I do so I was wondering how it's supposed to be pronounced

I pronouce it with both a's sounding like the A in Apple, and the emphasis on Kat... but i saw somebody on here say that it's pronounced with those A sounds but similar to Plaghatt. Since I'm not asian, I would feel strange saying it like that. I would feel that others are thinking that I'm putting on "airs" and showing off for some reason.

If it is an Asian word, then i am sure the 'a' is pronounced like Arthur.

I am not sure of the proper saying , but I guess this could be debated like the proper way to say betta, in the end it doesnt matter I guess. Some people debate tomato.....

i honestly have no idea but i've always pronounced it PLAY-KAT
