How Should I Make A Stand For A Ten Gallon Tank

I want to know how to make a stand for my ten gallon tank. Can you suggest a design that looks good and will support my tank? I'd especially like one with storage space on it.

I am sorry that I have no easily available plans for a tiny 10 gallon. Tanks that size are my emergency tanks and sit places like on a piece of 1/2 inch plywood atop a file cabinet. For larger stands I do have plans and lots of pictures. There is a thread that I put together telling the story of my own stand build that can be found using a link in my signature area. It is about building a far bigger stand than I would use for a 10 gallon but the principles would remain unchanged. It may give you some hints on where to start.

i just made one using ply its in the i was bored at work thread on this page.

One of two things you can do. First and easiest is to just go to the store and buy a cabinet and put it on that. Second is if you have carpentry skills you can build your own cabinet. 10 gallon isn't all that much weight and you can get away with a salvaged cabinet from a remodel or even from a Habitat for Humanity store.
