how quick will he grow

i bought a clown knife hes about 5-6in long and i was wondering how fast he will grow and once he adjusts to my tank will he swim freely alot and eat when i feed him?

mine has doubled in size in about 8 months. he was about 6" when I got him, now he's about 12 or 13". mine comes out to feed but there are a lot of plants in thetank so I don't see a lot of him

thanks my tank doesn't have any plants its kinda like well a "rock garden" and he found a hiding spot and he seems to be happy

as long as there are a couple of hiding places, then he should be happy
