How old??

Just wondering how old a betta has to be b4 it can breed

good question.. im not sure lol.. im guessing around a few months old.. i wouldnt try it b4 3 months tho... as i say im not sure i just would think about 3 months would be good

iv heard everything from 2-6 months

I've had a pair sucessfully spawn at just under 3.5 months. I believe anytime after 3 months they may be able to, but of course that may vary with individual fish and how fast they mature. I believe 5 months on is the optimum age.

i read in something that after a year, they're too old.....i think they can start breeding at 2-3months or so?

i think 5 months is the optimal time period, by 3 they are almost mature, i think 2 months might be a litlte too young, most wouldn't have even developed all their finnage yet
