How Old Is Your Bristlenose?

Was watching my tank this morning, and "big fat ugly *****" fish (my bristlenose) came lolling up to the front of the glass and simply stared at me.

I have had mine since I was taking A levels - She is at least 9 years old.... maybe 10. Im dreading the day that I find her lifeless... mind you I wouldnt know coz she sits still in her cave most of the time.

How old are your bristlenoses?

Mines only about 2yrs old, least Ive had him, Bristle, 2yrs and he was just a wee little thing when I bought him, so he's got alot of life left in him yet! Aggro little oik though We dont often see him, but occassionally I get a suprised and see him stuck to the front glass, then its a case of freeze, because if he sees you move, he goes back into hiding

I got mine in February and he/she is still a baby. Cute right now. I am preparing for the day Hilton gets big and ugly.

i have 2 only babies a 3 months old max

one is always out and about and the other i have not seen in 2 or 3 weeks i cant find her nor can my gf we look through every angle of the glass and still nothing

I have a male thats about 2yr and a female that about 4yrs and 80 fry that are 10 days old.

About 6 or 7 month old but they are still only 1 1/2" long

All sorts of ages. I have some that are up to about 5 or 6 years old and others who are only days old

Got my baby BN in Jan when they were 6 weeks old and less than 1in. The largest is now almost 3in including tail but the albino is much smaller

7 months old or thereabouts, called "whiskers", and he's getting right ugly, he has lots of chunky bristles now

i havent a clue! ive had my female since November last year and im guessing she is almost fully grown so that would make her about 1 1/2 - 2 years old

They have all got a lot of time in them then - How many babies must you have Vikiandkev! Lots of breeding going on there me-thinks.

There must be some older ones out there somewhere..? Mine cant be the oldest.

Out of curiosity, how old do you think a BN is when bought from an LFS at 2"? Just trying to get a better handle on how old mine is

I have a common pleco and it's exactly the same.
