How often do you feed your plants?

What do you feed it?

Do you inject it with Co2?

I feed my plant once a week every wednesday night.

Every day with TPN+. No co2 Injection, so I use easycarbo daily. On a 100+ planted tank, this is expensive business

Every day.

I follow the insructions on the packet.

Are you meant to feed plants everyday?

it depends on what type of system you are running. If you are keeping an EI planted tank, then you add fertiliser every day or every couple of days, and have CO2 and lots of light.
On the other hand you have an average aquarium with a few plants, a bit of light and no CO2, then you can add some plant fertiliser once or twice a week.
Generally plants do better with a bit of fertiliser frequently, rather than a large dose once a week.

The instructions say to dose weekly, however most people (especially on this forum) divide the weekly dosage by 7 and then dose that amount daily, it appears to have better results, particularly as I do 2 50% w/c weekly.

Depends on what your feeding I guess, but with TPN+, daily or every other day seems to work better.

So in one of my tanks i give 7ml of the plant food all together.

If i do divide by 7 then i should give 1ml a day would this be better?

Your calculations are correct, but only YOU can see if it is beter or not, try it for 3 or 4 weeks and see what happens :)

i did once, and theyre non stop growing... theyre prolly easy plants...but still. they wont stop!

Ok i'll try it.

Another thing i noticed was that my cabonba caroliniana has grown 10 cm in 2 weeks.

Tell me names of ferts lol.

I'm going to go to my lfs on friday and hope not to buy any fish.

I need to get some plants, ferts, food and a brand new cave for my bns.
