when we asked at a lfs they were asking for £22 i think its a little steep but not sure

Ouch! Maybe I'm just cheap but I wouldn't want to pay that for any fish!

I went to my lfs today and they had golden nuggets about 3inches long and they was selling for £29.99, it wasnt so much the price that would have put me off but 3 of the 5 that they had was stuck to the front of the display tank and there bellies were so drawn in that i didnt think that they would live for very long.

that is an average price as i have seen them as much as £35 but think, you will have it for years to enjoy so if you realy want one then go for it. Just dont ask for a discount they give you funny looks.

haha we cant get one for a while tank only been up and running 2 months nd semingly they like more mature tanks

How big it is would help determine if its a fair price

I paid £12.50 for my L177 at 1.5 inch

and yes i wouldn't put one in a 2 month old tank.

i got 2 golden nugget plecs about 4 iches long for 36 pound it was a few years ago tho?
