Moon Wrasse "about 15cm"

Standard Lion Fish "about 20 cm"

Yellow Bar angel fish "about 30 -35cm"

How much wud i be able to sell these for Privatly? coz i have no intentions of going to a fish store coz they rip ya eyes out.. :sly:

not sure about the angel but the wrass and lion would need a fish only tank and so you'v got to find someone who would take them so I would say about £15 for the wrass and £20-25 for the lion but thats if you can sell them. I would just take them to the lfs. the reason the lfs won't give you much for them is that they may have them for 6 months in which they will take up a tank and wil also have to feed etc and still have to make a profit in the end.

ste :)

If you're selling them just to get rid of them, does it really matter how much you get for them?

If you're selling them for money, you may not get that much (unless you find an exceptionally interested buyer). It would be better to try and make money off of something else. :fish:

A lfs may rip your eyes out, but at least they'll take them. . .

It does matter how much i get as im setting up a reef system.. so i need them sold, but the money i make of em, will go towards more live rock etc, and at £200.00 for a few bit from Fuji won`t fit my 6x2x2 tank, so the more money i make the better. :)

If you don't really need the money (except to help pay for your new tank), then you might as well sell them to the lfs. If you really need to get rid of them, then that's probably the best option.

I was close to seeling the angel for £120 but the guy said his tank was only 13 weeks old. so i said he could`nt have it, the fishies life was more important then the money. So i`ve decide to set up a 4x2x2 instead and place em in there. i kinda like em anywayz, it would be shame to sell em for a few lousy quid. I`ll just have to get my lass to spend sum more money.. heh :flex:

YAY!! !!

Sold the Angel for £150, nice bit of live rock for meeeee.....!!!

I think a 4ft tank would`nt enough space for him, as he likes his kinda corner.. the wrasse and lion is wots left, i may take the lion to lfs then keep the wrasse, i dunno wot it will eat with regards to corels fish etc.. i`ll read up on that also..

Just i want a reef and i seen a beutiful one 2day. and its mouth watering.. so must sort it out.. :)

A full-grown wrasse will eat just about any coral out of boredom, if nothing else. They may be acceptable as juveniles, but as they grow up they become progressively more destructive.

Dont ever sell to the lfs, trade them your fish for what you need. You will do better in a trade because they look at what your fish will cost them from the wholesaler, verses what they paid for the product you are seeking.
If you take cash for your fish, they will only give you what they would have to pay to get it from a wholesaler, then you have to turn around and give them full retail for the product you want.
Its a little bit of psychology, most people get confused and excited about bartering and are more apt to give you a more even trade.

Thx for the info. its shame, he`s a colorful little fellow..
