How Much Would I Get For A Hybrid Cat?

i hav a hybrid syno multi that i dont realy want, it big agressive and ugly its like dark grey all over with small black spots, thinking of trading him in for a third of his value and buying a little pure bred one, i saw em at the shop a few days ago there about 2 cm long, the thing is how much store cred would i get for the big guy and if i put a little one in would the adults eat it?
i have 2x nice hybrids ,adults
1x ugly hrbrid(getting replaced)
1x nice little guy, probs hybrid ,young

tbh in most places hybrids (apart from your BP's, flowerhorns etc) aren't looked on too well so i wouldn't really think you would get much for it,
The big cats won't kill a smaller one although they may well chase it for a while until they are used to having it around

depends on what it's crossed with. A dog x cat would be worth a bit and funny as all hell watching it chase itself around the house

Generally hybrid catfish aren't worth much because they can grow to any size and don't look like either of the parents. Depending on what the shop thinks of the fish will determine what you get for it. Some shops will pay a reasonable price for crosses but others will either refuse to take them, or only pay you a tiny sum.

Some species of Synodontis will eat smaller catfish, but others won't. Normally you try not to put anything smaller than half the size of the adults in their tank. ie: if the adults are 6inches you don't want to add anything smaller than 3inches.

id agree with drobbyb you shoulded really pass on hybrids because if everyone did it then we woulded have many pure strain fish plus hybrids have a shorter life expectancy then a pure strain,if you read online about hybrids you'll find alot of people are against passing them on.some fish shops will take them but they dont put that they are hybrid when they are selling them on so some person will go in there buy it and think that its pure strain that another reason people are against hybrids.
