How Much Would A Gold Spot Plec (L001) Usually Cost?

I have a gold spot pleco, which I got off a friend, just wondering how much are they usually? when I got him he was very sick,dying from stress. He is much happier now, just wondering how much one would usually cost?

For a small one about a fiver iirc from LFS I used to go in.

Bigger ones are impossible to price as most people want rid of them realising they can't house them.

any big common/sailfin etc are dirt cheap, which is the reason so many people end up with them. then they get huge, and you have to give them away because so few people can comfortably house them. lfs wont give you anything, they'll just put it in a display tank, thats if they even take it. your only saving grace is that its at least a little bit attractive, rather than a boggo common.

It depends where you are. In the UK you'd be lucky to get any money for one. But I've seen them on Japanese sites where they seem to sell for between £100-200, as does Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps, a very similar fish.
