How Much Sand In A Juwel Vision 180

Hi im going to give sand a try, think i might go with black. What depth is about right, and does anyone know how much i would need for a juwel vision 180 in lbs (pounds)

Does anyone recommend any black sand except for the tahitian moon sand, abit too expensive.

iv got about an inch and a half in mine, quite deep, got a bit excited when adding it!! you really only need around half an inch to an inch but really anything that you think looks good. Think i got a sack which was about 15kg but didnt use it all.

Do you intend on having plants? I was recommended using 1-2 inches when starting. 1.5 should do if you wish to put plants in.

yes im going to have a few plants in, nothing major. Say i went with 1.5 inch, how much would i need, just so i dont buy more than i need, you reckon a 20lb bag would do

abit of topic but couldnt find the answer anywhere, if im going for black sand, im also getting a juwel background, use know the roots, rock or cliff ones etc, not chosen which design but just wondering if i go with a dark colour like the granite, you reckon the tank will look too dark.

Has anyone tried making there on background like the juwel designs.
