how much salt

how much salt would you need for a 45 uk gallon tank. is there a speasal kind of salt i need i want corals, fish and crabs ect.

there are two types of salt, fish only like instant ocean and reef salt such as reef crystals. F/O salt dosn't have calcium, magnesium strontium etc in such high ammounts like reef salt does.

you want to keep the S.G (specific gravity) between 1.022 - 1.025 for F/O and 0.024 0.026 for reef.any thing between 1.022 - 0.026 will be fine for both, but I have found best results at these levels. its hard to say how much salt too add as there all slightl;y different but it should tell you on the box what capacity it will do and to what S.G.
