How Much Privacy Do You Give Your Betta's During Breeding?

I breed my betta's in a glass tank but cover it with a cloth which allows light to go in, but not for me to see what is going on inside.

Problems is I have a hard time determining things like whether there are eggs in the bubbles nest or whether the they have already drop down from the nest. I don't see them wrap too... which is something I would like to see. How much privacy do our betta's need to spawn?

Tips from all would be welcome.

I'm a total voyeur, my bettas get no privacy!
My female kept getting distracted by things going on outside the tank, so I covered the tank with a towel, but I frequently peeked in and once they were spawning neither minded having me watch them. Some bettas don't like being disturbed, but others are just exhibitionists I guess

He he I am terrible, or just a control freak. All my main tanks are in my living quarters, I keep fry and the like in a special room in my office/finished basement office.

My Spawn tanks are a different story. I make them breed (drumroll) in my living room. I really like to keep an eye on them and know exactly what is going on. Once the fry are at a month old, I move then to growout. I have not had a prob with them being disturbed and I partially cover the tank mainly to keep humidity. The only probs it gives me is we all have to be totally addicted to it, and that if kids walk by very stompy some babies fall from the nest! eek!

My breeding tank is right in my bedroom, so i can see them from lying down on my bed. Generally they breed when im lying down, cuz they cant see me. When im waiting for them to breed ill lie down there staying still for however long i possibly can, but i feel free to go out. I generally come back in time to see the breeding.

seeing the eggs is easy for me, you take a picture with flash, and the eggs will look like solid white, while the other bubbles are obviously see through.
