hi,

I have plants in a bucket and kept dying and it is under my room flourcent light. Always on.

It keeps dying...roots get spoiled and cut off and start floating.

Reason for bucket is my frys are in a bucket...so i do not have to feed them as they eat plants and algae.

I kept outside ..fking all birds came and eat few of my guppy fries. May be i need some form of glass with porus holes for light go through or a net on top of a bucket.

But i need a way to keep bucket in my room because it gets cold soon in canada.

Advance Thanks for your expert suggestions to grow plants in a bucket (20litre). Also i need super high lumens and energy saving lights if i have to put separate lights on top of bucket.

My goal is first keep plants alive then grow fast. One step at a time.

thanks.

An energy saving 25 watt bulb would be more than enough for that bucket, 5 watts would be plenty but I've never seen a bulb that low in wattage.

If you are alright with electronics, 10 white LED's would be plenty (battery powered lol)

You could also try putting it just inside a window and positioning a mirror just above it so it gets direct sunlight from above haha.

what about room flourecent light? it is always on!. it is 2 40w.
