How Much Lr And Live Sand?

My new tank passed the leak test with flying colors, so I added the SW today. I asked around the store about how much live sand and how much live rock should go into a 24 g nano, and got several varied answers.

for the live sand, some said 2 lbs. for every gallon, some said 1 lb.

Anyone care to jump in on this? I ended up buying 40 lbs (2 bags) of Arag-Alive Indo-Pacific, but I'm thinking of only using 1/2 of the second bag.

also, any opinions on water testing kits?

It is pinned above, 1lb per gallon, 1- 1 1/2 lbs LR per gallon. Check out the pins. API test kit should be fine. Salifert if you have money to burn. SH
