How Much Live Rock Rubble For A Orca Tl500 Back Chambers

how much live rock rubble would i need for the orca tl550 chambers.

I would be inclined not to put any in there as the flow is not great through the back so it can become a nitrate farm, But I know some do.

In mine is a lit chamber with chaeto in it which is a good way of removing nitrates and phosphates, Then you can have carbon and rowaphos in another chamber.

this may sound like a dum question but can you just put the lr in the chambers or do you have to put in a bag or some thing

Id put it in a bag, so when you put your had down there for what ever reason, you dont get bitten by a hitchhiker lol

Yes you can and in answer to Bollands, yes you are right it appears dark - I floated my chaeto in a bag on the top, it didn't grow much but did grow and stayed healthy. Trod however bought a small light for the back, hers grew faster than mine, if I was going to do it again i would buy a small light
