How many pearl gouramis in a tank?

hey everyone!
i saw this video and there were so many pearl gouramis in that one tank!
i thought you could only keep a pair of one type of gourami in a single tank?

Some gourami can be aggressive towards others. Pearl gourami however are pretty peaceful which will do well in groups. Depending on the size of tank they are chosen for its best to aim for more females with a single male. Ive got a group of 5 in my 180 and you do get that natural behaviour you wont see with a singleton.

There is quite a lot of accurate and important information in this video, something sadly lacking in so many others. I would always maintain this species in a group. Tank size factors in, this is a 70g so there is room to have a decent number of the species and that means less chance of problems plus better health and interactions. No other gourami species though, as mentioned during the video.
