How Many Otos

Every time I go to the Lfs, I find myself looking at the Otos.
Today I gave in to temptation & got 2.
I have an 80 litre with guppies & platys as in my sig.
They seem to have settled in well, flitting around the tank.
My tank is moderately planted & I have some wood in it which they seem to like.
Could I have a couple more, or should I stick with the 2?

Will give them a week or so to settle properly then go get a couple more

Yeah, I agree with fishy friend!
Otos add very little to the biomass, and they are more comfortable in bigger numbers. But they also do best in more mature tanks, 6 months and older. Make sure you supply good quality algae tabs for them, and now and then some blanched zucchini (baby marrow, thanks Mr. Ludwig Venter ) !

My tank's been running about 9 months now.
I got some algae wafers for them, but they haven't touched them so far, they've been busy all over the wood.

Really depends on how long you had the I have a 20 gallon that has been in use for about two years with four otos. My dads 36 gallon tank has been running for about 2 months with two otos. And our ten gallon has been running for a week with no otos yet.

I got another 2 today, & a nice piece of wood with lots of algae on it.
They don't tend to stick together so far, but they're loving the wood.
I bought some zucchini, so will try them with some.
I think there's enough algae for a couple of days at least, & I have some algae wafers for them too
