How many is normal?

Just wondering how many babies you get at a time when your platies have babies...........I have 13 so far...........wondering when to take her out of the breeder...........

I asked the same question a while ago and was told 6-30, depending on her age and whether or not she has given birth before.

ya, 30 sound like a good maximum. Did you know, that huge female guppies can give upto, and slightly over, 60 fry?

Oh yes, I have had that before.........used to breed guppies. This is my first round with platies....

Its probably best to take her out of the breeder, it is possible that she may have a few more but the stress of staying in the breeder won't be too good for her own health Is she still quite large?
