hi all

had my tank up and running for around 2 weeks now.
i have 8 neon tetras, 3 corys and 1 pleco
all fish seem healthy and water is fine.

whats the maximum amount of fish i can keep in my 70L tank?
i dont want to come anywhere near the maximum

Thanks

dan

Whats your exact readings for ammonia & nitrite?

Did you do a fishless cycle before adding fish?

What type is the pleco?

a rule is 1 inch of fish per gallon...

so about 15 would be a rough estimate

but depends on how fat the fish are...

as 15 neons will make a lot less waste than 15 gold fish.

But if you do plenty of water changes and keep on top of the Ammonia/nitrIte/nitrAte levels everything will be fine.

i cycled the tank before adding the fish
its been 2 weeks since they were added. water is fine
all 0's and ph is 7

it is a bristlenoce
i also have 8 neon tetras, 2 grey corys and 1 albino

You could do with getting your Corys more friends, as they like to be in groups of 6+ AND they don't group with other type of cory.

and I think you'll be pretty full.
