How Many Fish In Your Tank

Hi guys,

I am cycling a tank and wanted to know how many inch of fish can you keep per gallon? Is it UK or US gallons you work it out? And do CUC count in this equasion?

what they say is one inch per us gallons, but i don't follow it. if you have a 30g tank, would you put a 30 inch fish in it?

anyways, it can work in some situations though

AS Aston said, 1 inch per gallon dosn't really work, unless you've got fish under 2 inches. PErsonally, I think you should just tell us what you want in the tank, and if it's two big we'll narrow it down for you.

Not sure if they noticed this was in marine, but 1" per gallon would be wayyyy too much for marine. If you want SOMETHING to go by, use 0.5" per US gallon. But this still, is not completely accurate, although it is a place to at least start. You kind of get a knack for correct stocking levels as you gain more experience. CUC will not affect your fish stocking level.

Best way is to post potential stocking lists and let us comment

"CUC will not affect your fish stocking level."
CUC generally don't contribute nearly close enough as fish, so no. CUC aren't included.
