In a 35 litre tank?? (what is this in gallons by the way, if anyone knows? )

I know it depends on what fish but what would a general idea be?

Thanks!!

In 35l - that's pretty small, about 7gal uk.

First have you cycled the tank (read the section in the beginners bit about how to properly do this)

If you have or once you have then you are fairly limited by size. A Betta is the obvious suggestion, with some dwarf cories 'habrosus' or Otos. Maybe some shrimp.

Deffinately fishless cycle first.

I have one of my bettas in a 35litre with 3 kuhli loaches (used to be 4 will be replacing the lost one with 2 others asap)

It's a perfect size for the betta and he loves it. :good:

I think otos need more room for there big groups

4 otos would be fine but they shouldn't be added for 6 months or so.

Khuli loach are alsoo a good idea.

about 9.1 US gallons (says in my sig)

I'm from the UK but alot of people work in US gallons on here, you get used to conversions.

I use (don't know if it's very accurate)

3.79 litres- 1 US gallon

4.5 Litres- 1 UK/ imperial gallon
