hey there so i have a 60L tank with a fluval U2 and a 100w heater with heater guard :)

there is 2 plants and a bit of bog wood in the tank the only fish that are in the tank atm are 6 week old Bristlenose fry there is 35off them in there it still looks rather empty do you think i could put more in or do you think that is plenty ?

i do 20% water change everyday in that tank

and i will be selling them all in about 2-3weeks i usually keep them in the main tank but atm there seems to be alot of platies in the tank i havnt been paying much attention to the platies i have just been concentrating on my bristlenose but when i was checking the platies today there was alot more than i thought so they will be going on sale tonight hopefully will be sold by tuesday if not sooner thats how quick they usually sell

thanks

has anyone bred bristlenose before ? how many would you keep in this size tank witht eh filter ect..

60 liters should be enough, if you are selling them soon. :) I have had about 15-20 fry is 45 liters and sold them when they were 3-4 cm in length.

cheers :) so how many you think would be ok to have at 2cm in size in a 60L ?

35 already sounds like plenty, even though they are still small. They mostly stay on the bottom, so I think that the size of the bottom area is more important than liters...

I only have 5-7 on my fry left in my smaller tank with the bottom size 60 cm x 25 cm, and they are 4 cms in length, and I'm mre than happy to give them to new homes soon! They are starting to grow a bit too big...

the majority of the fry are on the sides there is some bogwood in there too for them :)

Maybe it's better to stay of the safe side and not add any more fry in it, since 35 bns, even when small, give a filter a lot of work?

Not sure, I just like to think that better safe than sorry! :good:
