how long do you guys turn off your pumps for target feeding? Ive been doing about a1/2 hour... to long... not enough?

Thats what i hear most people do. Whne i target feed, i usually dont turn the powerheads off but when i do i turn them off, feed the corals, then turn them back on again after about 5-10 mins...but i hear most people leave them off for 30 mins

I usually just turn them off until the fish/ whatever has been fed, then turn them back on. If I am feeding anemones then I wait until the food has been ingested completely before turning the pumps back on. This prevents the food being washed out and polluting the tank.
