Hi I have 3 silver sharks in my 160L tank and I have had them for about 2 months now and when I bought them they were about 1" long, now they are around 3".

I was wondering if there would be an average time for them to grow to about 6"+ I know its a bit of an open ended question but I was just wondering if anyone had some of their own and how long it took theirs to grow large.

Mine are fed on a mixture of frozen blood worms, frozen brine shrimp and a good quality flake food. The tank is kept at around 26oC (78.8F)

Any advice would be awsome!

Thanks!

around 6 months to get to that size then they keep growing if well cared for untill their around 12 inches long!!!
Good luck

they will need to go into a bigger tank. these fish grow large. 160L is no where near big enough. i have a few off them and have grown about 6 inches in about 12 months. when i bought them they were about 1 inch in size.

Ok, thanks for the help.

Could you suggest anything else Marksayer10 that the sharks would like to feast on?

Also how many times a day do you feed yours?

i feed mine or should i say feed my tank once a day. 1 day i feed flake and pellets and on every other day i feed a cube of frozen blood worm or brine shrimp also.
