i have a new tank and all of the live rock and corals from my nano are going into my new tank. now all i was wondering is how long do i have to wait until i can add the mushrooms on rock into my new tank. it has only been up since yesterday and already has bits of live rock in it.

thanks :thanks:

yes i know how much rock i need i need 8 kilos and im adding it gradualy. my circulation is 880 l/h thats like 16 times the amount of the tank. i know you need 20 times but ill have to make do for now. the tank is 60 liters
when can i add the coral from my small nano

if the live rock in there is fully cured(main tank) then i sud think sooonish, im gradually adding live rock as well i did it after i got my c.uc. and they seem fine.

and thats a good turnover rate it should be alreet. probably more then my turnover rate is at the moment :/

Although turnover is important its not the only factor to take into account so is flow that 1 internal filter will not be moving all of the water around the tank meaning you are going to have dead spots which you do not want in a reef setup. You will need to get another power head to move all of the water in the tank.

i already have a powehead in there what pumps 280 l/h i also have another internal that does 200 l/h but im thinking of getting rid of them an getting a uv steriliser. what do you think.

think im getting a lil confused here you say you have a flow rate of 880 lph 16 times the amount of the tank, that would make your tank 55l ish.. i presume its a juwel rekord 60? and you are after getting rid of 2 pumps one at 200 lph and one at 280 lph? thus bringing flow rate down too 400 lph which is just over 7 times you tank volume an hour?

imo stick with the flow and sack off the uv, we have one on our rio 240 a tmc uv it brought no visable results but we have never had any sick fish. would only really consider another one if a were to get a tang or summat like that...

UVS and copepods and phyto plankton and other beneficial life dont go well together.....
