If no desease or illness is obviously showing, how long should fish be in my quarentine tank to ensure all ok before adding to main tank?

ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF OR AN HOUR

Actually, you should quarantine new fish 2 to 4 weeks. Diseases, parasites, etc. may take a while to show so anything less may be a waste of time.

No problem Shady. Unfortunately, a lot of pet stores give out very bad advice on fish. Their employees generally aren't fishkeepers and really don't know anything about them. True fish stores are usually better but even some of those are bad too. A lot of the employees in these places are really just there to get a pay check (probably for near minimum wage) and don't really care about the job or learning anything about the fish.

Quarantine mean 4 weeks.

Hi. Last time i quarantined new fish i left them there for a week. I watched them and they all were active and eating and didn't appear to have anything wrong with them so i just moved them into the main tank.
