2 weeks ago I had a fungus break out in my tank. I noticed a small white fuzzy spot on my betta and on the root ball of some of my plants. I've been treating my tank with Jungle Fungus Clear for 2 weeks, but the spots are still there. I feel like rubbing it off my betta myself, but I don't want to harm him. I also have this white flaky stuff on my air tube that seems to be clearing up slowly, but no progress on my betta. His behavior seem to be normal and he does good when eating. Is there anything else I can do for my tank to clear up this fungus? Should I just give it more time and treatments? Are there any other products I should try? I feel bad that my fish have to be swimming around in green fizzy water. Thanks for any help and advice.

How big of a tank is he in?

I personally don't like the jungle tablets. Cheap equipment and meds aren't always worth it when it comes to fish. I experimented and ended up using maracyn (or maybe maracyn-2) to deal with the problem. It worked better than melafix, jungle, salt baths, etc. (3 goldfish had fin and tail rot, by the way).

My betta is in a 20 gal. tank with 3 corys, 2 dwarf gouramis, and 6 neon tetras. None of the other fish have any signs of fungus.
