how long for colors to come back

i got a bolivian ram 3 days ago, and at the store, the colors were pretty poor of course.

now his black has come in around his eyes, and the yellow on his belly, but his fins aren't red and overall u can tell his colors arent how its suppose to be

im just wondering how long it takes a for a ram to get its colors back, since ive heard they are a little more sensitive.

also i was wondering if after so much breeding and stuff, if they loose their colors, or if that shouldn't happen

Cichlids can rapidly change their color depending on their attitude. He may be stressed out a little but should get them back when he settles in. If yu are around them enough they will befriend you and try to follow you. I like the bolivians a lot
