For chlorine to die off?

i added two caps of Tapsaf to my Aquarium.

And i did'nt have enough ( hench the reason im going to the LFS tomorrow to buy some more ) Anywho.

Apparntly chorline dies off after a week? Is this true? I Dont Know Maybe you lot can help me

Chlorine doesn't die off, but the affects that the de-chlorinator have are more or less instant.

Forget this. Im buying a propa bottle of whats it called so ionly have to add a cap full!!

LOL, chlorine gas will evaporate in 24 hours but if your water company also use chloramine then as far as I know this stays in the water unless removed with a suitable dechlorinator.

Dechlorinators vary a lot, I use seachem prime as 1 5ml cap treats 200l of water (more than your whole tank) if you get something like this you would use just 2ml per water change so a 100ml bottle would last 50 for 50 waterchanges (assuming 20% a time) which is a whole year.... There are other brands that use similar ammounts too I'm just giving an example of the one I use. It does cost a little more initially but lasts about 5x longer than typical dechlorinators.
